Description: Prestigious Enterprise Company is currently seeking a Senior Telecommunication Data Engineer. Candidate will proactively and responsively manages, monitors, maintains, designs and supports the data network and associated services. This includes troubleshooting of complex problems, streamlining of existing procedures and development of new policies for internal and external customers. Responsibilities: - Provide technical expertise, support and training to Service Management, Service Delivery and Network Services departments as it relates to customer test and turn-ups, troubles, and order issues.
Monitor and analyze core network elements and systems to evaluate physical and virtual capacity, usage against total available capacity, and overall data network reliability. Implement performance improvements and/or capacity augments as necessary. - Engineer, manage and maintain core and edge network infrastructure. (IP database, network facilities (GigE, etc.).
This includes preparing and distributing documentation on that network. - Develop, modify and implement IP routing hierarchy and company standards. Using standards acquire IP resources from underlying carriers and manage inventory to ensure adequate capacity, and build customer and network IP routes in Juniper and Adtran Routers. - Direct and perform advanced engineering studies to determine requirements, long-range engineering plans, and design of the data network.
Provide data network technical expertise and assist clients in sophisticated problem determination and resolution. - Schedule, manage and perform IP network after-hour maintenance, when required. Technical qualifications include: - 5 - 7 years telecommunications service provider engineering experience with Juniper, CISCO or equivalent equipment and Adtran along with BGP, OSPF, MPLS, MLPPP and VPN routing. - JNCIA or CCNA certifications a plus.Employment Type: PermanentVisa or Citizenship Required: Applicants must be eligible to work in the specified location
