Title Service Desk Technician Summary CRI Advantage is looking to hire a Service Desk Technician (Help Desk Technician) to provide contracting services to a federal agency’s IT users This includes desktop and laptop hardware and software network troubleshooting in collaboration with the network infrastructure groups desktop updates and backup environments Duration 1 year with option for extension Location Golden CO Duties shall include but not be limited to Document customer problems and communicate service information to users and record action using work order system Diagnose and troubleshoot desktoplaptop system printer and operating problems Consult and instruct users on hardware and software questionsissues Collaborate and consult with IT teams on network issues Install maintain and upgrade desktop and laptop environments Runs diagnostic tests to isolate network problems and make recommendations for potential solutions Responds to error messages equipment failures and other concerns from users Ensures systems remain operational during working support hours Working knowledge of Outlook exchange email services Activating security tokens and educating clients as needed The above duties shall be performed in the following environment Standard Software Suite – MS Office 2000 2003 2007 2010 Communicator Adobe Acrobat Captivate Live Meeting FileMaker Pro Entrust Pointsec Hardware – Gateway Dell Apple Blackberry iPhone Polycom Cisco VoIP Phone Utility Software – TrendMicro SCCM McAfee Forefront Bluecat (Proteus) IP Management Timbuktu Windows Server and Active Directory environments Juniper SSL VPN 2Factor authentication Team oriented environment IS client service for over 2000 science and executive professionals researchers and administration staff Key Competencies Oral and written communication skills Listening skills ClientCustomer Service Initiative Problem solving Professionalism Adaptability Attention to detail Judgment Teamwork Stress tolerance Interpersonal Skills 61623 Valuing Diversity Equal Employment Opportunity CRI is an Equal Opportunity Employer MFDV Microsoft Office Cisco Apple Blackberry Dell Adobe Windows Server Active Directory
