As a result of our continued success, Istonish is growing and looking for a focused and results-oriented Service Desk Technician to join our team.
Position Title: Service Desk Technician
Job Location: Alamosa
Scope of Position: This position is a work from home role with limited travel and has no financial or budgetary responsibilities.
Basic Function: The Service Desk Technician is responsible for providing internal/external Istonish customers with incident management, change management, request fulfillment, and desk side support within a Helpdesk Tier 0 through II organization. Applies knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures to promptly resolve issues identified from inbound calls or emails.
Required Skills

Personal: Two years of information technology experience Solid written and editing skills Detail oriented with strong organizational skills Ability to communicate effectively with clients to identify their needs Ability to maintain a professional attitude and demeanor when in stressful situations Valid driver's license and reliable transportation Ability to work with no Supervision Ability to communicate technical issues to customers in a non-technical format
Technical: Must have background in configuring, assembling, integrating and trouble-shooting Intel-based PCs Must have background in troubleshooting peripherals (Monitors, printers, faxes, scanners) Advanced knowledge of Windows XP through Windows 8 in an Active Directory environment Advanced knowledge of ethernet and wireless networks Previous experience with remote access protocols Previous experience with virus removal and prevention Previous experience with WAN troubleshooting Client-server Protocols (DNS, DHCP, TPC/IP)
Preferred Skills: MS Exchange experience Windows Server experience Active Directory configuration ITIL v3 Foundations, ISO 9001, A+, Solaris, MCSE or other related certifications
