Service Representative, Chemical Dependency Services (Sisters of Charity Hospital – Main Street Campus): The Service Representative Chemical Dependency Services greets patients, registers demographic and insurance information into the computer system, schedules appointments (STAR only), maintains billing and statistical data. Performs other duties necessary to support day-to-day operation including coding, copying, faxing, ordering supplies, collection of co-pay, self-pay fees, and timely input of data to the OASAS website.

REPORTS TO: Lead Service Representative, Site Supervisor, Clinical Coordinator .

SKILL AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS (MINIMUM):

Education:
  • High School diploma or GED ( with courses in typing and English )

Experience :

One year clerical work experience required.
·
Medical office situation preferred.
·
Customer service experience strongly preferred.

WORKING CONDITIONS: Works in an office environment with patients, clinical and medical staff. May be subjected to frequent interruptions either by phone or in person. Will have significant patient contact .
