Position Description: Provide SharePoint/Graphics Administration, maintenance and support. Implement Ad hoc projects and tasks. Pro-active work ethic that includes research, configuration and deployment of new feature sets. Ensure deliverables are completed in a timely manner. This position supports a highly visible and often fast paced environment. Primary focus is to understand customer’s requirements and leverage SharePoint Technologies to meet the needs of the customer. Furthermore, this candidate must possess the ability to independently run an entire system or portion thereof and to review and process its output for validity and accuracy.

Primary Responsibilities: The SharePoint/Graphics Administrator will be responsible for the maintenance, and support of the DHS Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO) SharePoint environment . This includes, but not limited to, implementation of third party tools, Dash-boarding and Documentation. Additional tasks will include developing and maintaining organizational charts, slide presentation graphics, technical writing and editing.

Primary focus of the position will be to support, maintain, and develop the OCIO S harePoint environment that includes :

Maintenance of the SharePoint Portals which includes permissions, site collection lay-out, site creation, and break-fix requests.

Create and facilitate a comprehensive training plan to include end user training and customer/power user/seminars/ brown bag sessions

Utilize Remedy to track customer requests and ensure that tasks are complete in a timely manner

Create a Governance Plan that defines roles, responsibilities, policies, and the use of SharePoint as it relates to the organizations overall goals

Leverage SharePoint feature sets such as Workflows, InfoPath Forms, Excel services, Wiki’s, Dashboards, KPI’s and Score Cards to aid customers in automating business processes and facilitating their day to day activities

Leverage Performance Point Services and Managed Meta Data Services to improve reporting capabilities as well as content management

Manage SharePoint Projects for all branches

Create presentations for high-level executives

Requirements Gathering

Create and configure Project Plans based on customer needs.

Provide work a-rounds along with standard methods of SharePoint

Familiarity with jQuery and action script

Communicate clearly and effectively to help guide the client in the best practices and methodologies.

Education, Experience and Job Qualifications :
BS or BA 4 years professional experience

PMP (Preferred )

MCTS: Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007 or 2010 ? Application development Certification

MCTS: Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007 or 2010 – Configuration Certification

Executive Level Presentations

Must be able to interact with a variety of stakeholders

High degree of communication skills

Active Top Secret Security Clearance (preferred)

Skills: SharePoint 2007- 2010, Project Server, Windows Server 2008, Visual Studio, SharePoint Designer, MS Office 2007-2010 Suite, Adobe Creative Suite, Adobe Photoshop, Visio, Java script and jQuery
