Ke`aki Technologies has an opportunity for a SharePoint Administrator. The position will be located at the Navy and Marine Corps Public Health Center (NMCPHC) located in Portsmouth, VA.

The SharePoint Administrator will be responsible for development and maintenance of a growing Microsoft Office SharePoint Environment. The successful employee will provide webmaster and SharePoint server portal support for the three National Drug Screening Laboratories located in Jacksonville, FL, Great Lakes, IL, and San Diego, CA. The SharePoint Administrator must be able to build, deploy, administer, troubleshoot and provide day-to-day support for the SharePoint 2007/2010 and SQL Server environments. The employee will also be responsible for interacting with commence SharePoint Managers, Content Managers, and other IM/IT staff to gather and document requirements and provide support for defining scope of work for development and configuration activities. The specific tasks follow:

Responsible for development and maintenance of the SharePoint 2007/2010, MOSS and SQL Server environments.

Designs, develops and maintains SharePoint, MOSS 2007/2010 templates and workflows

Monitors SharePoint and MOSS 2007/2010 server logs, activities, events, and assets

Resolves issues related to the content creation and publishing of web properties in SharePoint and MOSS 2007/2010.

Documents and reports on system usage and activities on a monthly basis.

Performs content creation and administration, as directed.

Provide SharePoint implementation guidance and consulting to the business and community of site owners regarding site design, collaboration, project team communications, and content management strategies.

Provides training for site managers and content managers.

Provides user orientation and assistance. Serves as the SharePoint web services “Trouble Desk” for Site Managers located at three NDSLs. Prioritizes trouble calls and responds to the most urgent requests (e.g. those affecting production) first.

Support all three drug laboratory Intranet and public facing Internet websites while complying with DoD, DoN, ADA (Section 508), and other requirements.

Maintain and keep current all content on a daily basis.

Provide modification, enhancement, and improvements on a continuous, timely basis while maintaining a professional and leading edge presence for the three navy drug laboratories.

Complete requests for changes to the website within five (5) days of request, unless deemed urgent, which shall be accomplished on the same day.

Provide technical support to internal customers in handling problems and concerns regarding web service issues, feedback and performance improvement areas.

Maintain 98% uptime of Intranet and Internet servers.

Provide management of servers and systems that provide services to end users. At a minimum, the contractor shall manage servers, systems, and networked devices; perform systems’ routine maintenance and configuration; prepare reports and documentation; coordinate activities with other IT Specialists in the department.

The SharePoint Administrator will provide technical web services to include:

Prepare and maintain documentation, to include programming code for implemented web applications.

Create, design, install, and manage web sites and associated pages, and perform Webmaster functions.

Design and prepare technical reports, presentations, or briefs.

Using Knowledge, Skills and Abilities and experience associated with a SharePoint LAN Administrator, the employee shall have a thorough knowledge of application, software installation and maintenance. The employee’s skill level should be current and consistent with new technologies.

Special Qualification Requirements are as follows:
Bachelor’s degree in computer related field, Database Management and Application development preferred.

Must have Security+ certification

Microsoft SharePoint 2010 Administration Certification is preferred

A working knowledge of Microsoft .NET, Web Trends, and other related tools such as Microsoft SQL.

Good written and oral communication skills.

Willingness to work under supervision and in a Team environment.

Knowledge and skill of the following:
File formats used in delivery of Web content

Working with Internet security principles and protocols such as Security Sockets Layer (SSL) and encryption

Database management principles and methods

DOD and Navy IT security methods to maintain the integrity of Web server

Internet/Intranet design principles and methodactive server pages (ASP), ASP+, standard graphics, mark-up languages, programming, visual basic scripting, Windows Visual Basic Application tool, DHTML, SQL, .NET, streaming video and scripting languages and tools

Graphical design, web enabled graphic creation, color palette, etc.

Appropriate documentation skills
