Overland, Pacific & Cutler, Inc. is seeking an experienced SharePoint professional with the ability to understand and address business needs creatively to join our IT Department. Based out of Long Beach
Technical Skills: Exceptional SharePoint development, design and management skills, including SharePoint farm administration, data organization and management, business automation and workflows. Ability to translate requirements into final product, including business analysis experience. Experience with 3rd party SharePoint add-ons integration. Familiarity with InfoPath, SharePoint Designer and VB or .NET programming, as it relates to SharePoint customization. SQL administration background a PLUS. Familiar with Crystal Reports and/or other database reporting tools. Familiar with MS servers including the virtualization technologies (HyperV and VMWare) a PLUS
The ideal candidate will have the ability to understand and address business needs creatively; strong written and verbal communication skills; sense of urgency to provide solutions; good business judgment to follow the IT mission; professional and service oriented attitude; ability to integrate well with the IT Team.
Education / Experience to include: BS Degree in Computer Science or related field from an accredited institution. SharePoint certification a PLUS 3+ years of experience with SharePoint development, customization, design and administration (including SP2010). 2+ years of SQL administration experience. Business analysis experience a PLUS Commitment to ongoing education and marketplace relevance through user group participation, conferences, certifications etc.

Essential Duties: Get familiar with OPC's SharePoint architecture and organization of data. Get familiar with company's processes and procedures. Participate in developing SharePoint based solutions to current business problems and needs. Work to improve and optimize the current solutions. Improve the efficiency and functionality of current SharePoint based business platform. Creatively develop new solutions to existing and anticipated business needs. Troubleshoot and fix any SharePoint related issues as they come up, including functionality, performance, access and data integrity. Actively participate in business needs definition as a technical expert. Participate as needed in support of other OPC systems, such as servers and network devices. Assume a primary role as the person responsible for management, development and improvement of SharePoint implementation at OPC including business tools and solutions, but also SQL and SP servers. Function as a business partner providing solutions to the business needs, maintaining tools already in use, and developing new ones, based on native and custom SharePoint functionality.
