  • 4, 2013 at 11:59 p.m. (Eastern Standard Time). This position reports to Global Corporate Function Business Enabling (PAD GCF BE) under Process, Applications & Data (PAD). As a part of the Chevron Information Technology Company (ITC), the position provides technical support and delivery of solutions for the Health, Environment and Safety (HES) applications. Position Details: RESPONSIBILITIES FOR THIS POSITION INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO: Provide technical expertise, leadership and guidance in supporting the HES application portfolio and projects involved at. Provide application support (with some applications requiring 24x7 or 24x5 support) on areas of governance, system enhancement, incident management, change management, release management, work/issue coordination and prioritization with business partners and/or vendors.
  • Participate in development and enhancement of application functions and reports to address business requirements.
  • Manage multiple projects and tasks concurrently. Must have a good grasp of current application technologies and their use in meeting business requirements.
  • Translates business requirements into technical specifications and identifies opportunities for process improvements. Interprets program logic to inform / consult with users on system processes.
  • Acts as a Subject Matter Expert and understands business processes to can act as liaison between customers and other technical support groups.
  • Information protection and compliance - ensures system and processes adhere to standards and will lead or participate in periodic reviews
  • Understand and execute activities to ensure a smooth transition of applications from Project to Support/Operations, share best practices with fellow team members, and foster a collaborative environment to identify opportunities for standardization and consolidation of applications.
  • Coordinate application's BCP (Business Continuity Planning) and DR (Disaster Recovery) testing/execution.
  • Integration and coordination of work across different virtual locations - Manila, Buenos Aires, India and US locations.

    REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS :
  • 6+ years hands-on software/application development experience in .Net 3.0 and up
  • Solid understanding of multi-tiered application solutions, Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC), Agile Methodology, web application design & development, networking concepts database concepts and reporting.
  • Experience designing and developing SharePoint applications using SharePoint API.
  • Experience in SharePoint Site administration, customization and maintenance.
  • Experience on Microsoft .NET applications and architectures, web server configurations (IIS 6.x - IIS 8.x, etc.), Visual Studio, TFS, Oracle, SQL Server and MS SSRS reporting.
  • Excellent knowledge on application development using APIs, Web Services, and Object-Oriented Programming.
  • Ability to write/create or modify complex SQL statements - Oracle and SQL Server, Stored Procedures, Triggers, among others.
  • Knowledge on application integration under Windows Server 2003 - Windows Server 2012.
  • Ability to create, maintain and support batch job tools and scripting on Windows/Unix platforms.
  • Application troubleshooting using Httpwatch, Fiddler, WMI, performance counters, etc.
  • Understanding on application Windows security, authentication, SSL, etc.
  • Requires clear written and oral communication abilities.
  • Able to adjust work schedule in support of critical monthly processing.

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor in Computer Science or Engineering related degree or equivalent experience is highly preferred.
  • Experience designing and developing SharePoint Project Server Object Model.
