Vistronix is seeking a SharePoint Web Developer/Desktop Support Specialist to work on base in Quantico, Virginia.
Under direct supervision, the Desktop Support Specialist provides support on computer hardware, software, and user assistance to internal customers. Responsibilities:
Responsible for branding unique custom look and feel for web page design.
Develops custom reusable master-pages to allow fixed width or scalable widths.
Creates custom content types to meet requirements.
Creates custom calculation columns to provide unique data output.
Responsible for the development experience in data formatting to include:
XSLT - formatting of ItemStyles for content query web part.
DataViews – cascade style sheets, XPath expressions, and conditional formatting for internal or external data.
Data source connections XML connection for data feeds, SOAP,REST, and Database connections of data to bring into SharePoint. Qualifications:
Associates Degree in Computer Science or a related field or equivalent is required. Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of formal education.
Knowledge in SharePoint 2007 and 2010 is required.
Hands-on experience branding SharePoint’s front-end look and feel that relates to client’s needs.
Has the ability to take Photoshop mock-up and integrate in to your SharePoint front-end.
Hands-on experience with creating custom workflows, to include:
Working knowledge of the configuration and settings for SharePoint Web Parts, especially in the areas of Filters, Search and Content Query Web Parts.
Knowledge in the architecture and planning for SharePoint 2007 and 2010, to include:
Capacity planning for new implementations and migrations.
Mapping of customer business problems to end-to-end technology solutions
Develop project technology strategy by understanding key client objectives; diagnosing and mapping client requirements; articulating solution risks and barriers; recommending project approaches; preparing time and cost estimates; planning full project life cycle.
Implement architecture by building components and custom designs; prototyping; data migration; maintaining technical integrity and consistency; documenting system.
Enhance overall team accomplishments and competence by planning delivery of solutions; answer technical and procedural questions.
Troubleshooting common SharePoint errors to include list, libraries, workflows, webparts, site collection, permission issues, etc.
Microsoft Office integration into SharePoint:
Associates Degree or equivalent. Equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of education.
Microsoft Office Suite experience required.
Extensive experience in SharePoint development.
Two years graphic and/or website design experience.
Professional written and verbal communication skills.
Intermediate analytical and problem solving skills.
Customer service skills and/or strong interpersonal skills.
Security + certification.
Comp TIA Certification preferred.
Microsoft Certification desired.
