The Shipping/Receiving Clerk is needed to assist with the increase in daily shipping/receiving supplies and parts.

SUMMARY: Receive incoming shipments of merchandise, prepare merchandise for shipment, and keep records concerning these transactions.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITES: Other duties may be assigned to meet business needs.

• Routinely demonstrates and creates a helpful and positive work culture.

• Encourages and builds positive relationships and communicates effectively with all co-workers.

• Conducts self professionally at all times as the public image of the company in accordance with MRC’s code of ethics.

• Picks product from shelves accurately and prepares for shipment based on customer and branch location orders.

• Assists customers for will call orders.

• Unload inbound shipments.

• Verifies quantities of inbound shipments in a timely manner and reports discrepancies to manager.

• Stock shelves of replenishment orders.

• Rotates stock to ensure aged inventory is used first.

• Maintain accuracy of product bin locations to ensure correct placement and recovery from shelves.

• Processes customers returns of product based on established procedures.

• Performs other various duties as assigned.

• Excellent communication, attention to detail, and organizational skills

• Ability to multi-task and problem solve

• Ability to work with others - administration, logistics, sales, and service personnel

• High School diploma or general education degree (GED)

• At least one year shipping/receiving experience preferred

• PC experience and aptitude preferred

• Forklift operator license required

• Customer service experience preferred

Moderate physical effort required. Work will involve walking, standing, bending, reaching, lifting or carrying objects that typically weigh up to 50 lbs. Regular application of basic skills (keyboard, hand tools, eye/hand coordination)

The employee will be working in a warehouse environment and will be exposed moderate noise levels.

• Ability to work well with others, including customers

• Inventory accuracy (accurate shelf counts from receipt and picking for shipments)

• Shipment accuracy (correct shipments to customer locations, correct product shipped on orders)

• Turn-around time of shipments
