This position will ensure the efficient shipping receiving, packaging, storage and delivery of production supplies, and finished products. This is a working position, meaning the person in this role will be responsible for doing the jobs and completing the same tasks as subordinates.

Uphold DDWs Mission Statement, Quality Policy, and Values and Beliefs.

Maintain strong knowledge of all plant functions and an ability to function in all shipping and warhouse roles as needed.

Oversee transition between shifts Shipping Associates and Packaging Operators.

Prepare Shipping Checklist.

Have a working knowledge of all duties of every warehouse team members and ensure these duties are completed accurately and timely.

Ensure first in first out (FIFO) practices are used for finished goods, packaging and bulk liquid inventory.

Ensure cleanliness and organization of the warehouse.

Ensure good practice for handling packaged materials and supplies to manage losses and damage.

Ensure we have no late shipments

Arrive prepared for the morning meeting to ensure all questions raised related to your responsibilities are answered.

Ensure proper flow of paperwork with customer service and outside of the warehouse.

Ensure we have adequate inventory of the following items (notify Supply Chain Manager when items need to be ordered)

Fill in for the Logistics Coordinator as needed.

Ensure CQS charges are managed and kept to a minimum.

Discuss and plan expenditures with Supply Chain Manager.

Work shifts as needed when warehouse associates are sick or on vacation.

Oversee transition of Shipping Checklist from Logistics Coordinator to second shift Shipping Associate.

Other duties as assigned

Must be able to operate fork lift
(May be trained at DDW)

Knowledge of "Just in Time" manufacturing practices

General computer and basic math skills required

Must be able to build relationships with associates and vendors.

Ability to analyze and recognize trends to make wise decisions based on past performance.

Must be able to lift 55 pounds, climb ladders, work on top of railcars and tank trucks, stand and walk for long periods and work in uncertain weather conditions.
