Deep Focus is looking for a Video Editor/Shooter And Content
Producer Team to join the them working in our Client's worksite in
St Louis, Missouri. The Video Editor/Shooter will report to the
Moment Studio Manager who is located in New York. The
Editor/Shooter will take ownership of shooting and editing
short-form branded videos as well as shooting static photographs
for branded content. The person in this position must also be an
imaginative and conceptual thinker with strong communication
skills.
Specific day-to-day responsibilities

include:
  • Collaborate with writers, producers and on-camera talent for
story ideas and scripting
  • Shoot video and static (photographic) content as the sole
camera, lighting and audio operator
  • Coach on-camera talent (interview subjects both human and
animal) and conduct interviews, as necessary
  • Edit high-quantity, high-quality content for promo spots,
scripted shorts, brand trailers, short-form documentaries, agency
reels, and case studies
  • Create motion graphics and title treatments to support video
creation
  • Ability to finish videos for digital output (color
correction/balance and sound design/audio mixing) including exports
and compressing for Web
  • Absorb creative direction while bringing unique ideas to the
table

Requirements/Qualifications:
  • Great story telling, timing and pacing
  • Strong musical and audio sensibility (savvy music selection
skills as well as the ability to edit TO music AND edit music
tracks, as needed)
  • Heavy experience in short form video creation (both commercial
and editorial)
  • At least 4 years experience as an editor in some or all of the
following industries: broadcast design, advertising, film,
interactive, motion graphics, graphic design
  • Solid knowledge of Final Cut Pro Suite and Adobe After
Effects
  • Knowledge of DSLR (Canon 5D & 7D) camera (video and static
photo expertise) and lighting/audio equipment
  • Sound mixing using software such as Logic is a plus
  • Positive attitude working in a creative, team-oriented
environment
  • Experience working with clients a strong plus
  • Graphic design, typography, and illustration skills a plus
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to work independently and with a team
  • Reel showing strong display of applicable work required at time
of application

producing and distributing content elements across the many media
platforms.
