DESCRIPTION

The Site Director of Emporia will provide supervision and oversight of Catholic Charities of Northeast Kansas' Emporia site. Supervise and facilitate day to day operation of the program while collaborating and effectively working with all organization departments. Assist with program development. Supervise staff and programs as requested. When appropriate, provide emergency assistance services to individuals and families including assessing needs and providing consultation, support, direct assistance, information and referrals to community resources. DUTIES

1.Provide supervision to all aspects of the Emergency Assistance Program including staff, volunteers, program activities and grants.
2.Oversee food pantry operations including coordination of food drives, volunteer support and purchasing of food.
3.Manage the Emergency Assistance Services as a good steward of Catholic Charities resources. Ensure that all administrative processes related to record-keeping, client files, funding and other administrative issues are done to the highest standards.
4.Provide supervision to Foster Care and Adoption staff including accountability of hiring, training, evaluations, addressing complaints and resolving problems. Includes being available to staff as needed with weekly supervision.
5.Review and monitor, with appropriate staff, all affiliate agreements and state contracts for agency approval and compliance. Review and monitor all program files on a quarterly basis.
6.Be the lead contact to prepare and assist staff in all state or contract audit process, and work with staff in correcting any concerns or issues of audit, state contracts, or grants.
7.Participate with the Director of Program Operations and other staff as designated in monitoring fiscal matters regarding foster care billing to ensure proper and timely reimbursements to Catholic Charities and foster homes. Monitor any unresolved billing issues and assist the Associate Director as needed in investigating payments not received.
8.Monitor foster care homes to insure appropriate placement and complete home visit monitoring tool.
9.Develop, lead, and manage a high performing team of service professionals. Ensure all staff and volunteers are trained and certified to provide effective, efficient, high quality service to clients. Conduct performance management on all staff utilizing organization tools and guidelines

QUALIFICATIONS

  • LMSW required.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in non-profit, social services, emergency assistance environment.
  • Experience in family services preferred.
  • 1 year experience developing, leading, and managing a high performing team of service professionals preferred.
  • Prior experience in conducting comprehensive interviews with families/individuals from vulnerable populations using the Strengths Based Case Management model, to assess needs.
  • Familiarity with community emergency assistance resources.
  • Prior experience using the MAAC Link database.
