The Slot Project Analyst reports directly to Slot Management in the Slot Division. The core responsibilities of this position include Slot Project coordination, General Administration, System Input, and other related ad-hoc projects and analysis. This position requires an individual with strong interpersonal skills as managing relationships with other Wynn Las Vegas departments and outside vendors is a critical part of this post. Additionally, this individual must be fluent in Microsoft Office applications, more specifically Excel, Access, and Outlook. One year of relative job experience is preferred.
*Understanding slot terminology.
*Understanding PAR sheets (game math structure) for all game types.
*General knowledge of slot operational/technical procedures.
*Locating and getting comfortable with all Slot related databases and excel files.
*Product familiarity (manufacturer, type, cabinet, denominations, progressives, WAPS, etc).
*Participation games and fees (corporate discounts and other deals) and their overall mix and contribution to revenue.
*Responsible for providing past and present operational performance analysis for slot department.
*Creates and maintains specialized slot reports using Access, Excel, SQL, Teradata and other such programs.
*Assists with the planning of projects.
*Generates the slot project/conversion paperwork.
*Maintains the slot operations database/warehouse for project and other analysis related purposes.
*Maintains a relationship with vendor contacts (IGT, WMS, Bally, Aristocrat, Konami, etc.)
*Understanding slot statistics (how to calculate win, lease fee types, progressive accruals, free credit, etc.)
*Game and system topography and logistics.
*Slot floor orientation (row numbers, locations, etc.)
*Understand the competition and marketplace (floor mix and financials)
*Performs other duties as requested.
*Gaming industry experience is preferred or similar experience as an analyst.
*Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Hospitality, Finance or Engineering or comparable experience in Statistics, Mathematics, and Engineering.
*Proven knowledge in the Microsoft Office Suite, such as Excel and Access; additional experience with macros, pivot tables and SQL is a plus.
*Experience in Business Intelligence, Data Warehousing, and Data Mining is a plus.
*A valid Gaming License is required and must be obtained before entering this position.
*Must be 21 years of age or older.
