DESCRIPTION

The Crowne Plaza Resort - Palo Alto is seeking a Social Catering Manager to join our team.

The Crowne Plaza Palo Alto is managed by BPR Properties. BPR Properties is a small family owned and oriented company focusing its efforts in Northern California, and operating a variety of full and limited service hotels which include branded and independent boutique properties. Fresh from a recent renovation and refurbish of the entire hotel top to bottom, the Cabana is poised to place itself at the pinnacle of the full service hotels in the Palo Alto area. We are a 195 room hotel whose facilities extend over nearly 20,000 sq. ft. of meeting and event space that includes a ballroom to accommodate 800 and a beautiful outdoor courtyard & pool. We are located in the center of Silicon Valley adjacent to Stanford University.

DUTIES

Primary responsibilities: to discover and solicit new accounts to meet/exceed revenue goals through telephone solicitation, outside sales calls/presentations, networking events, site inspections and written communication. Ability to close on the high number of incoming leads. Other duties include coordination and overseeing service for booked events, assisting clients, answering questions and directing team when needed. Assist with marketing of social segment including updating information and directories.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are seeking a Catering Manager with a minimum of 2 years experience in social catering sales. Attention to detail and a great personality, positive outlook and the ability to close the deal is required. It's helpful to be familiar with Delphi, and expected to be efficient in Outlook, Word and Excel.
