The Social Media/Community Specialist is responsible for the strategic planning and day-to-day management of Hazelden's social media properties and communities in order to engage key audiences in meaningful, supportive and informative interactions on the Web fulfilling Hazelden's mission of helping more people live lives free from addiction.
Bachelor's degree in journalism, marketing, advertising, PR or related field required; must have 2+ years experience in digital/social media communications; a demonstrated background in cultivating online communities required; must have an understanding of how to drive business through social media; requires the ability to work independently and collaboratively; applicants should have a passion for social media; prior work in the health care industry and/or knowledge of Twelve Step principles/environment highly desired; familiarity producing video for social media also highly desired.
