COLSA Corporation is currently seeking experienced applicants for a Social Media Analyst(Russian).
The selected applicant will read, analyze, and draft communications regarding regional and ideological discussions in specified foreign language media environments. The analyst will develop and maintain close familiarity with designated regional issues, and be able to draw upon publicly available online information resources. Analyze current media statements or postings to predict trends and identify key communicators. High-level reading and writing capability in the assigned language, incorporating custom social media solutions, to understand the current online environment, to then communicate these trends effectively. Working knowledge of online social media, and different technologies are required. Keep documentation such as notes, informative papers, and/or white papers written in English. Some travel may be required.
Bachelor's degree in a technical field, military intelligence training, or equivalent experience required.
0-8+ years of scientific and technical intelligence analysis experience and knowledge of computer analytical software required.
Foreign Language: Fluency in Russian reading and written communications.
General proficiency in reading and writing in the foreign language. (IRL level 3 or higher).
Working knowledge of desktop applications, world-wide-web and social media.
Some experience living in a foreign country where the specified language is widely spoken, and is preferably the national language.
Successful candidates will also possess strong English communication and writing skills.
Aptitude to learn and utilize new software capabilities.
Must be a US Citizen. Candidate must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance. Current active SECRET clearance preferred.
