The School of Government is seeking a 75%-time social science research assistant to support the short- and long-term research projects of faculty members working in the areas of public administration, human resources management, and law. Work will consist of data and statistical analysis, survey design (both qualitative and quantitative surveys), data collection and data cleaning, and data management. A typical workweek will be 30 hours per week. The assistant may occasionally need to work up to 40 hours in one week during particularly busy periods. The research assistant will be based at the School of Government.
Education and Experience
The candidate must have excellent data analysis, research and writing skills. Experience with statistical and data analysis software such as SPSS and Excel are needed. The ideal candidate will be attentive to detail and have demonstrated project management skills as well as experience in practical research. An advanced degree as well as prior experience advising individuals on research design and analysis are preferred.
