The Social Worker I applies principles of Social Work and other behavioral health practices to provide patients and families with assessment, interventions, support, advocacy and case management. In all departments, practices as a member of a multi-disciplinary team, in the provision of clinical intervention and support to patients and families. The Social Worker I assesses, develops treatment plans, and intervenes to address the needs identified in the assessment and by the Team. The Social Worker I utilizes knowledge of culture, age and developmental stages to develop treatment plans and provide interventions, either as an independent practitioner or as a member of a clinical team. The Social Worker I may also participate in administrative duties, as assigned by the Supervisor.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS :

Master’s degree in Social Work, Marriage & Family Therapy, Counseling, Psychology or related field

1 year of experience

1 year of pediatric professional experience

Valid California driver's license and proof of insurance

Registration with the State of California as an ASW or MFTI, as appropriate by discipline

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

3 years of experience

Bilingual Spanish/English

Formal training and experience working in a mental health clinic or other behavioral health setting

Knowledge of evidence-based practices utilized in clinical interventions

Formal training and experience in assessment and treatment of trauma

Formal training and experience in assessments and treatment of infants and young children

LEVEL 2 ~

JOB SUMMARY:

The Social Worker II applies the principles of social work and other behavioral health practices to provide patients and families with assessment, interventions, support, advocacy and case management as a primary provider and/or as ancillary support to the primary medical provider. In all departments, practices as a member of multi-disciplinary team, in the provision of clinical intervention and support to patients and families. The Social Worker II assesses, develops treatment plans, and intervenes to address the needs identified in the assessment and by the Team. Utilizes knowledge of culture, age and developmental stages to develop treatment plans and provide interventions, either as an independent practitioner or as a member of a clinical team. Also may provide support and debriefing to RCHSD staff following traumatic events. AS assigned, will provide supervision to Interns and unlicensed staff. May also participate in administrative duties, as assigned by the Supervisor.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS :

Master’s degree in Social Work, Marriage & Family Therapy, Counseling, Psychology or behavioral health field

2 – 4 years of experience

Valid California's driver's license with proof of insurance

Licensure in the State of California as a Clinical Social Worker or Marriage & Family Therapist

2 years of pediatric professional experience

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Certification in Clinical Supervision in the State of California

Bilingual Spanish/English

Formal training and experience in assessment and treatment of infants and young children

Formal training and experience working in a mental health clinic or other behavioral health setting

Formal training and experience in assessment and treatment of trauma

Knowledge of evidence-based practices utilized in clinical interventions
