Scope of Responsibilities/Expectations
As a Developer Community Support Engineer your primary responsibility will be overall production and management of our online documentation that includes developer guides, API reference, tutorials and sample code. You will be responsible for building and maintaining a process that ensures timely delivery of ongoing documentation changes as well as identify any future documentation needs. Candidates will be working very closely with engineering teams to maintain and collect the technical content that is required for our online documentation. You are expected to have enough technical skills to be able to act independently in building the needed developer guides, tutorials, etc. All documentation that is developed is intended for the public developer community and as such you should have experience in developing similar external facing technical content. Other responsibilities including monitoring and responding to online community discussions where documentation is a possible solution.

Specific Knowledge/Skills
- BS in Computer Science
- Experience in writing technical documentation for an external developer audience
- Web development skills or background
- Ability to write sample code and small working applications to demonstrate features
- Ability to manage content generation independently of engineering
- Proficiency in HTML, Javascript, CSS, Ruby, Ruby on Rails, MVC, Android/iOS/Windows Mobile/CE
- Knowledge of Markdown, gitHub, REST is a plus
- Experience with Eclipse or other similar IDE
- Understanding of database concepts such as schema and queries
- Experience using source control or content management systems, and can use this experience in defining the documentation process
