The GSB Group, Inc., specialized in providing quality financial IT professionals, is seeking a Software Developer for one of its valued clients.
Under minimal supervision this position is responsible for requirements gathering, design, development, implementation, and administration of an internal SharePoint application utilizing workflow and integrating a business intelligence solution. This position may require occasional travel.
This role is a contract position for 3 plus months.
Ensure that SharePoint is utilized across the division by promoting the benefits and SharePoint and insuring that it properly managed and used.
Provide development and support skills for department specific SharePoint needs.
Actively seek and develop solutions for improving internal business processes. This would include workflow automations, form routing and approvals, process automation.
Assist with the development and ongoing support of a SQL based data repository for metric reporting. This would include data extracts from key systems.
Serve as liaison to the corporate SharePoint team to represent divisional requirements and concerns.
Comfortable with working directly with internal customers on their business intelligence needs Implement development standards and templates.
Perform complex product design activities which may require extensive research and analysis.
Perform full life-cycle development and support.
Perform complex issue resolution, release testing and support for assigned products.
Conduct unit & integration testing for functionality and limits.
Participate in the development of software documentation.
Research new technology or development tools to remain informed of current technology.
May instruct, assign, direct, and check the work of other software developers on development team.
All other duties as assigned.
3+ years of SharePoint WSS 3.0, 2007/2010 application development experience, including analysis, design, code and testing of Microsoft SharePoint based applications.
Strong understanding of SharePoint 2010 structures, theories, principles, and practices.
Strong programming Skills in .NET, SharePoint Designer, InfoPath, Web parts Development, Workflow, 4 + years
Strong understanding of Object Oriented Programming
Understanding of SSRS, SSAS and SSIS
SQL Server 2008 experience
Demonstrated understanding of SharePoint API's and architecture
Strong communication and management skills
Able to juggle conflicting demands on time and priorities effectively
Proactive, "can do" attitude, reliable and flexible
High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
Able to work using own initiative
Adaptable approach to new technologies
Ability to establish effective working relationships with vendors and employees.
Experience in an internal IT customer-facing role
Demonstrated ability to work effectively with professionals and managers within IT (preferably within a professional services organization or partnership)
A Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems or equivalent education in a related discipline is preferred. Related work can be substituted for educational requirements.
Prefer candidate to be local to the Norcross, GA. area
