This is an exceptional opportunity for an individual to serve as a key technical resource on major projects in support of Temple University's administrative applications.
Working independently or as a team member, you will develop integrated, best-practice technical solutions to support departmental and university-wide users, provide leadership and direction to systems staff on various products and serve as an expert resource and mentor to systems staff. This position will you afford significant exposure to a varied of technologies, including PL/SQL, database object creation, web development (Java, .NET), workflow and imaging and Cognos reporting and forms development. Experience with Ellucian’s Banner Financial Aid, AR, Student or other ERP systems would be a significant asset.
Bachelor’s degree and at least two years related technical experience. ( An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. )
Experience in application support/development.
A knowlege of programming languages and tools such as Oracle PL/SQL, SQL, XML, .NET, VB, Web Services, etc.
Thorough understanding and technical grasp of relational database design/normalization, testing methodologies and software development lifecycles.
Well-developed analytical, programming, interfacing and testing skills
Experience collecting and documenting user requirements.
Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
Experience in any of the following would be a significant asset:
Ellucian’s Banner Financial Aid, AR and Student applications.
Ellucian’s Xtender software.
Reporting and forms applications, ie. Cognos, FormFusion, Crystal Reports, etc.
