CONTINGENT UPON CONTRACT AWARD AND SELECTION: COLSA Corporation is seeking candidates for a proposal effort to support future work on the Future Technical and Management Advisory Services (TMAS) contract at Eglin AFB, FL; Edwards AFB, CA; and Arnold AFB, TN. These contingent positions will support the 96 Test Wing, 412 TW, AFRL/RW, 53 WG, AEDC, and other organizations.
This individual will apply knowledge, skill and experience in software engineering and computer science, techniques, especially concerning embedded computer resources, to translate overall system requirements into computer resource requirements. Utilize the policies and principles outlined in applicable DOD guidance (e.g., DODD 5000.1 and DODI 5000.2) and utilize as a guide criteria and procedures contained in applicable industry standards (e.g., IEEE/EIA 12207.0, .1, .2, and ISO 9000¬3) to provide necessary computer resources/software engineering support. Specific task areas include: software planning documentation, software requirements and design documentation, software support documentation, software test description documentation, software test participation and interpretation, software validation and verification, and software engineering anomaly resolution support. Review software development methodology, process development, integration and testing to improve the reliability of software and ensure a minimum life cycle cost. Assists scientific/ engineering/technical personnel in defining technical problems, causes and solutions involving the development of real-time data applications. Has an in-depth knowledge of computer and network systems architectures, operating systems, network administration, data management and telemetry processing. Apply skill and experience in computer programming languages which include, but is not limited to, Basic, FORTRAN, C, Jovial, ADA, Assembly, C++, and others to review, analyze, code and document, and specify requirements and products. In addition, experience is required in CAD, UNIGRAPHICS, GRIP, Structured Query Language (SQL), ORACLE databases, and DOS, UNIX, and VMS environments. Review contractor hardware/software documentation, test procedures and results, trade-off studies and software coding. Prepare inputs to Statements of Work (SOW), specifications and other documents. Analyze and/or conducts/develops static analyses, dynamic analyses, benchmark evaluations, performance evaluations and standard compliance evaluations. Provide technical consultation to program offices concerning embedded computer hardware and software. Apply skill and experience in computer hardware, software, visualization, and network linking, to support development and testing of command, control, communications, computer, and intelligence (C4I) systems. Store, manage, and extract data effectively. Design and develop database management systems software and determine ways to organize and store data. Establish user requirements, set up computer databases, and test and coordinate changes. Understand database platforms, expansion, configuration control, backups, and design and implement system security. Trained, experienced and operate using various recognized industry standards (e.g., ISO 9000, CMM, CMMI, etc.).
Bachelor's degree in software engineering or computer science, or other related field, or equivalent experience.
Minimum of 2-8 years related experience relevant to software engineering or computer science. Individual should possess knowledge of DoD and industry guidelines/standards. Experience in Basic, FORTRAN, C, Jovial, ADA, Assembly, C++, CAD, UNIGRAPHICS, GRIP, Structured Query Language (SQL), ORACLE databases, and DOS, UNIX, and VMS highly desired.
