Equilar Engineers utilize current and upcoming software technologies to build original, innovative, and highly scalable web-based products. We have several different product lines that are currently expanding and growing into new markets and we are looking to hire 4-5 Software Engineers to join our dynamic team and lead development on these products.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Work independently and in teams to design, develop, and implement web-based applications from start to finish using the latest technologies on a Java stack.
Research, present, and master new technologies on an ongoing basis.
Collaborate with Product Development, Research, and Client Services to directly support implementation of applications.
Specialize in: UI development, Web Service application development, Developer tools, Java, Object Oriented Design, Design Patterns, Spring Framework, Database Design, SQL, Web Design, and Standards.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES
Solid foundation in computer science, with strong competencies in data structures, algorithms, and software design.
Experience in Java, Spring Framework and Web service.
Working knowledge in database design and SQL scripts; Oracle / MongoDB is a plus.
Working knowledge in Apache, Tomcat and JBOSS.
Working knowledge in Unix / Linux.
Ability to work independently and in a team.
Analytical, creative, innovative, and curious.
Strong desire to learn.
Experience with Python, Django, or Lucence not required but is a plus.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
BS and/or MS in Computer Science or related technical discipline with courses in Java and Object Oriented concepts.
2-6 years professional work experience.
For entry level candidates, preferably internship experience involving Java development.
