Over 200 million users use Twitter every month, generating billions of tweets a week. Yet these tweets are just the headwaters of the flood of data that our systems need to collect, process, and analyze in order to build new features and to run our business.
As a member of the data quality team, you will join a group of multi-threat engineers who make sure all the rest of Twitter can count on the reliability and accuracy of our core data collection pipelines and the validity of the analyses performed on the data flowing through them.
Write code in a variety of languages and contexts to improve data collection and analysis.
Build testing, auditing, and monitoring systems that scale both with an ever-increasing amount of data and with a quickly growing engineering team.
Work with engineers throughout Twitter to understand and improve our core data collection pipelines.
Coding skills to let you dive into any piece of code and get up to speed on how it works.
Technical and diplomatic savvy to get needed changes incorporated into existing code.
An aggressive QA instinct.
A mild pedantic streak.
A love of simplicity tempered by tolerance of complexity. (Until it can be simplified.)
