Primary Objective(s)

We are looking for a creative engineer/team player who enjoys problem solving on a day to day basis. The primary responsibilities of a Java engineer on the team are to work with technologists both within and outside of the team to design and develop innovative Java solutions that will serve the business analytics needs for our business and customers.

Key Responsibilities

This position will collaborate closely with senior and lead engineers and other project team members to understand business requirements and break them down into technical tasks.

This position will spend majority of the time designing, developing and supporting various web applications, both customer facing and internal operation focused, using Java, Spring, Hibernate, JSP, HTML, XML, JavaScript , Oracle 11g SQL, and Web Services.

Qualifications, Experience, Knowledge and Skills
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • 1 to 2 years of industry experience
  • Java/J2EE and relational database experience

Knowledge and Skills
  • Some familiarity with the following technologies:
  • JSP and Servlets
  • XML
  • HTML and JavaScript
  • Shell scripting
  • Perforce or similar source code control system
  • JUnit
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Quick learner, eager to leverage new technologies in a dynamic team environment
  • Aptitude for generating innovative solutions
  • Self-starter, capable of working independently or in groups.
