The Technical Project Manager is responsible for defining and tracking the progress of projects within the Technical Operations and Information Technology organizations, including documentation, communication, budgeting, and vendor relationships.
Review project proposals to determine time frame, funding, procedures for accomplishing project, staffing requirements, and allotment of available resources to various phases of project.
Establishes plan and staffing for each phase of a project, and arranges for recruitment or assignment of project personnel.
Continually confers with project staff to outline work plan and to assign duties, responsibilities, and due dates.
Prepare project status reports and present to management as required.
Continually maintain a global status list of projects within the TechOps and I.T. organizations.
Administer JIRA task-tracking system and Confluence wiki as appropriate for the TechOps and I.T. departments.
Coordinate the company’s ongoing Change Management process.
Manage and organize purchasing within the TechOps and I.T. organizations by working with Finance Department to obtain approval and issue Purchase Orders.
Track compliance requirements for various standards such as PCI, IAB, and eventually Sarbanes-Oxley. Ensure that the company remains in ongoing compliance with relevant policies and processes, including any necessary recurring tasks or meetings.
BS degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent experience.
Knowledge of and experience with at least one project management tool (JIRA, Microsoft Project, etc.).
Excellent communication, teamwork, and documentation skills.
Experience in a technical role within TechOps or I.T. is desirable.
At least 2 years of experience in project management is desirable, especially technical project management, though we are willing to train a motivated candidate.
A basic understanding of high-scale systems and network architecture.
A “people person” that speaks with project members, teams, and executives early and often to ensure a project’s success.
Self-motivated, self-starter comfortable single-handedly identifying, communicating, and/or solving problems.
