Job Title: Software Engineer

Job Grade: E1/E2 (New Grad)

Rockwell Collins in Melbourne Florida is currently seeking an embedded Software Engineer to design, develop and debug embedded/real time software for its Surveillance Avionics Products.

Job Responsibilities:
This position is to design, develop and debug embedded/real time software for Surveillance Avionics products. Fundamental software development and verification activities are as follows:

  • Begin to acquire product domain knowledge
  • Plan, analyze, design, test and document software of limited complexity generally in one functional area under guidance of more senior engineer
  • Begin to understand and utilize internal processes and tools for the development of software
  • Perform software requirements, design, code, test, integration and documentation.
  • Review software test procedures to ensure software requirements testing is complete.
  • Perform verification activities such as code inspections and software structural coverage analysis.
  • Ensure the project's defined software process for development, verification and configuration management is followed and that they comply with the recommendations of RTCA DO 178B.

Bachelor's degree in applicable engineering or science field, or, in the absence of a bachelor's degree, six years of related engineering experience.
