The Paid Search problem space encompasses some of the biggest & most comprehensive problems in Computer Science (Machine Learning, Data Mining, Business Intelligence, Large Scale Distributed Computing, Geographical Scale, Service Deployment and Management); Mathematics (Optimizations, Probability Theory); Economics & Business (Auction Theory, Audience Intelligence, and Behavioral Targeting). You will do work in the top tier of Internet scale services where our engines deliver in the thousands of requests per second.
We are looking for an experienced SDET Lead that has been operating as a lead already and almost ready to make that jump to the Senior band. As part of the Infrastructure team, you will be managing projects that contribute the foundational pieces to the delivery engine. We have projects that work with the databases that contain the entire corpus of ads in AdCenter. We write the interfaces that serve as the communication layers between machines. We implement highly advanced and efficient data structures that allow us to load massive amounts of data in memory in a distributed fashion. Our team integrates with the Sciences teams to deploy their algorithms into the framework. We are building the next wave of the Ads monetization engine.
The position demands that the lead be able to understand the technical details of complex systems and can write object oriented code. Highly scalable systems and services knowledge is a definite plus, however, it is not absolutely required to fill the requirements of this position. Requirements:
6+ years in C/C++/C# programming, with experience testing multi-tier client/server systems
6+ or more years of software development or testing experience.
4+ years management experience including recruiting, goal setting, mentoring, and career management.
3+ years exp with server operating systems, experience writing queries for relational databases, a background in web server platforms or a proficiency in multi-threaded programming.
Shipped at least 1 product having been there the entire product cycle.
BS degree or higher required in Computer science or engineering field.
