Solutions Architect – Teradata Applications

As part of Teradata’s sales team, you’ll support Account Executives to reach full revenue potential. You’ll accompany them on sales calls to Global 2000 companies, providing Subject Matter Expertise on our Teradata (Aprimo) Marketing applications. You are a key contributor in the sales cycle, providing custom demos, and consulting on vertical markets and technical matters.

Gather application requirements to facilitate the selling process with prospective customers
Act as a Technical Subject Matter Expert on Teradata (Aprimo) applications in sales setting
Provide customized product demonstrations, chalk talks, and general sales support in interactions with prospective customers
Act as a consultant by analyzing particular architectural and technical matters with Teradata customers
Effectively demonstrate and communicate the capabilities, architectural fit, and value of Teradata’s solutions
Feed knowledge gained from customers and prospects back to the Teradata (Aprimo) Product Group
Work with Sales force in transforming prospective customers into actual customers
Maintain deep technical knowledge as it relates to the Teradata (Aprimo) Marketing applications
Respond to RFPs and coordinate overall functional and technical responses

Ability to travel 60% of the time (flexibility required to meet customer requirements)
Ability to demonstrate effective presentation skills and passion for product and business value
Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Management, General Business or a Computer-related discipline
A minimum of 4 yrs of pre-sales experience or technical support experience working for an enterprise software company
Minimum 2-4 years working in a Marketing Department; database/online Marketing; interactive Marketing; managing Marketing Campaigns, etc.
Strong knowledge of web based applications and architecture
Working knowledge of OLAP, data warehousing, data mining/analytics technology
Ability to work effectively in a small team environment
Strong time management skills and multitasking abilities
Excellent communication and professional skills
Demonstrable history of self-starter, autonomous, independent work-style
