Summary of Job Function

This client facing implementation project manager will be responsible for managing the implementation of client enhancements for TSYS’s Loyalty (card rewards) clients. Responsibilities will span the full project life cycle (scope definition, solution analysis, requirements definition, detailed design, configuration and build, testing, and implementation) and include management of both TSYS and client project activities.

Essential Responsibilities

Specifically, the Solutions Implementation Senior Project Manager’s responsibilities include:

Gaining a high level understanding of the solution capabilities and best practice processes the solution supports.

Managing a full life cycle solutions implementation project including scope definition, solution analysis, requirements definition, detailed design, configuration and build, testing, and implementation

Project planning including timelines, resource staffing (including roles and responsibilities definition), and budgeting.

Managing to the plan

Ensuring that all resources, both TSYS and client, are aligned and executing per plan.

Project timelines are being met.

Ensuring that project budgets are being met.

Utilizing standard project management tools (workplans, status reports, issue logs, etc.).

Managing scope through a change control process.

Ensuring that the solution “works”.

Establishing and conducting communications throughout the project that keeps all team members, both TSYS and client, informed and aligned.

Assessing and documenting risk and creating corresponding mitigation strategies.

Providing issue management through tracking, resolution, and escalation if required.

Utilizing internal TSYS implementation methodologies.

Creating and managing the creation of high quality project deliverables.

Presenting project deliverables to both internal and client executives.

Serving as client engagement manager during implementation – representing TSYS interests during the project.

Qualifications

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Project analyst/ management experience

Ability to manage a client relationship in a manner that is positive for both parties

Ability to lead others in a team environment

Excellent communication skills, both oral and written

Ability to facilitate group sessions

Ability to understand complex business solutions

Ability to travel as required

Understands the clients’ business and collaborates with the clients to meet their objectives

Works well in a fast-paced, high pressure environment

Travels, as required

Possesses and applies functional business and/or industry knowledge to the development of business opportunities and solution of problems.

Analyzes moderately complex information for problem resolution

Influences and motivates others, often involving competing priorities and limited resources

Guides team members performing moderately complex duties

Education and Experience

Four year college degree and eight or more years professional experience

or

ten or more years professional experience is required.

Full life cycle systems implementation experience as a project analyst/manager is required.

A consulting background is preferred.
