The Grid IQ Insight Solution Sales Manager will be responsible for developing and effectively managing all sales related activities for Grid IQ Insight which provides advanced grid analytic solutions, in North America and Latin America. This role will work in conjunction with the Americas Digital Energy and Software Solutions sales teams as well as the Grid IQ Product team to create pipeline and generate orders.
In addition, in this role you will:
Work in a team selling environment with the Digital Energy Account Directors and the Software Solutions Sales Managers (SSSM) targeting growth and profitability across all product and industries where the solution is applicable
Manage all sales related activities focused on growth and profitability for their respective product line or solution
As the solution sales expert, provide solution / product knowledge transfer to the SSSM’s for the promotion of Grid IQ Insight products within their respective industry
Support regions to proactively influence product specifications and articulate value proposition and solution differentiation
Work with customer / prospects to determine their CTQs and apply appropriate product / service solutions based on value
Work with regions to grow pipeline, obtain orders and sales to drive profitable growth through sales strategy execution for both existing accounts and prospects
Cultivate long-term relationships both internally within GE and at all levels of customer / prospect organizations, partners, Value Added Reseller’s and consultants as required
Assist in price negotiations to secure deals while maximize margin
Support regional sales and commercial with proposal development, customer engagements and pricing strategy for the Grid IQ Insight Solution to ensure continuity
Demonstrate software to clients, prospects, partners, GE employees and at trade shows while also training key GE resources to ensure continuity in demo practices
Seek speaking opportunities to educate target markets
Represent the organization at industry conferences, tradeshows and meetings
Present relevant solutions material and market message to large audiences
Manage expenses within budget and meet or exceed orders budget
Work with the Product Managers and Regional Sales / Commercial to develop a growth and go to market strategy for Grid IQ Insight
Proactively influence product specifications as the conduit between the customer and the Product Managers
Ensure thorough sales coverage for Grid IQ Insight by geography and industry served
Bachelor’s Degree in Business / Marketing / Technical / IS or related discipline
Minimum of 5 years’ experience selling in the Electric T&D industry
Ability and willingness to travel as required (approximately 60%)

Thorough understanding and knowledge or have marketed and sold one or more of the following software solutions to applicable industries:
Big Data Analytics
Mobile Work Management
GIS and or GeoSpatial
Outage or Distribution Management Systems
Energy Management Systems
Prior sales, marketing or operations experience with applicable product focus in a quota driven environment
Proficient with Microsoft Outlook, Power Point, Word, Excel and on line sales tracking tools
Excellent command of oral and written English skills
Knowledge of Electric Transmission and Distribution operational software and customers
Experience developing and executing successful growth strategies
Work efficiently without direct supervision
Desire to work outside of boundaries and drive change
Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
Deep product and domain expertise
Successful orders growth track record
Self-starter, positive attitude, committed to the success of the business
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Strong team player, work ethic, and commitment to job
