The Spa & Fitness Host/Hostess is responsible for providing exceptional service to guests at our spa, salon and fitness center facilities. This position requires greeting of all guests, assisting with reservations, orientating guests to the facilities, providing guests with a clean and well-stocked facility, and checking guests in and out of the facilities. The Host/Hostess will either be servicing the guests in front of house at the facility’s front desk or in the back of the house by maintaining the lounge, locker room, and providing amentities. You must be at least 18 years of age to be considered for this position.

Responsibilities
  • Properly open and close facility each day according to Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Accurately book, change and cancel spa, salon, or fitness center appointments
  • Review guest appointments/schedules as needed
  • Follow all procedures around booking spa, salon and fitness center appointments
  • Acknowledge and greet Guests who enter and leave the facilities
  • Quickly meet the guest when called by the front desk and issue facility lockers, robes and slippers (when applicable) to guests, and escort guest to locker room
  • Provide orientation tour, explaining amentities offered and answering guest questions
  • Assist with purchases and recommendations, responsible for cash handling and all POS transactions. Maintain a bank and follow all cash handling procuedures
  • Provide detailed descriptions of spa, salon and fitness center treatments, packages, services, facility features and hours of operation
  • Maintain a safe, clean and well-organized environment through consistent monitoring of the locker room/lounge facility area
  • Clean fitness equipment regularly (when applicable) and after each guest use
  • Utilize facility front desk computers with skill and proficiency
  • Answer the phone promptly and use the guest’s name throughout the phone conversation
  • Actively promote treatments, services, sessions and retail as well as programs and promotions
  • Maintain a clean, safe, fully stocked and well organized work area
  • Handle guests questions and concerns professionally and courteously
  • Provide accurate and immediate responses to all requests by guests ensuring complete guest satisfaction
  • Regularly attend/participate in and support ongoing training to continue to be knowledgeable about current spa trends
  • Organize and clean retail area as needed
  • Follow all procedures for recommending home care to each guest – follow up with recommendation from the therapist
  • Maintain eye contact when addressing all guests
  • Must keep conversation professional at all times with guest
  • Maintain positive professional team attitude with peers and management


  • Basic Qualifications
  • Full-Time positions require full availability for any shift, any day of the week, including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Part-Time positions require full availability for any shift, a minimum of three (3) days per week
  • Constantly walking/standing up to 8 hours per day
  • Constantly lifting up to 10 lbs.,frequently up to 25 lbs. (stocking supplies)
  • Bending/Twisting/Kneeling constantly at the waist, frequent at head and neck
  • Frequent use of hands up to 8 hours per day; Uses repetitive motion to bag, scan and ring merchandise on register
  • Must be detail oriented and have the ability to multi task
  • Must have enthusiasm and possess excellent guest service skills
  • Excellent communication and listening skills
  • Enjoy working with people and possess a friendly and outgoing personality
  • Follows Open/Close procedures including, but not limited to counting out and balancing of funds at beginning and end of shifts
  • Adhere to loss prevention guidelines
  • Follow stock replenishment procedures
  • Prior retail and/or sales experience helpful; comfortable with suggestive selling
  • Basic mathematical skills are necessary
  • Prior cash handling experience necessary


  • Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior concierge or reservation sales experience preferred – familiarity with spa products/services and terminology helpful
  • Prior spa experience – familiarity with spa products/services/amentities or terminology helpful
  • Sales training preferred
  • Computer knowledge and ease of use

    SCHEDULE AVAILABILTY
    Our Theme Parks and Resort Hotels operate 24 hours a day, 365 days a year and some shifts may start as early as 5:00am while some may end as late as 3:00am, 4:00am or 5:00am. Please note that the principles of seniority are used to schedule all roles.
