Requirements:

Organized and analytically focused individual whom is detail oriented. Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications. Experience in excel is important to support report development and analysis.
An interest to learn about report building and analysis and growing presentation skills around these efforts. The successful candidate should work well independently and be results oriented.

Job Description:
Support the development of two specific projects that help bring value to our customers and support driving sales and profitability of our stores:

1. To support assortment to space analysis towards recommendations for oversize stores towards maximize their productivity from a sales and assortment perspective.
a. After completing this analysis, to work with the Space Planning Team to help action and communicate these changes in the merchandising system towards realizing these benefits.
2. To support the updating of the 2013 Vitamin Shoppe Space Productivity report with 2012 store data.
3. Comparatives from this updated chain productivity information made against the small format assortment review process above to better understand similarities or unique differences from the balance of chain.

Project Goals:

1 Data review and report generation towards performance and solutions of our oversize store locations.
2. Updating the space based productivity report for chain with data and performing a comparison analysis.

Project Planning:

Detail and source data required to execute the projects would be reviewed with the intern prior to each project facet. Daily follow-up with Director and Manager of Department towards the project goals to help work through questions, formatting, etc.

Evaluation and Project Completion:

The project completion and evaluation of the efforts around them will be through: 1. The quality of the final reporting based on accuracy related to the source data used. 2. The initiative displayed by the intern towards the project goals. 3. Communication skills to the supervisors or others needing to work with towards the projects. 4. Final presentation of project to Leadership Team.
