Amanter Social Ventures and YouReach

Position Summary

Amanter Social Ventures, YouReach and the private family that launched both initiatives is looking for a part-time, bilingual (Spanish and English) Special Assistant and Program Manager to work in the household office to focus on three key efforts:

1. YouReach program management and administration

2. Amanter research and special projects

3. Family and household special projects

The ideal candidate is bilingual, has a passion for youth development and social entrepreneurship, is resourceful, and can thrive working independently as well as receiving thoughtful and thorough guidance.

This is an exciting opportunity for a professional looking to explore early-stage nonprofit management. This position is 20 hours/week and will be based out of a private home in Chevy Chase, MD and Our Lady Queen of the Americas parish in DuPont Circle.



? Attend Saturday morning sessions at Our Lady Queen of The Americas church and become familiar with all aspects of the program and the 35 youth it serves

? Communicate with and help coordinate volunteer student leaders on a weekly basis

? Work closely with Founder and Board Member to research and identify funding opportunities, prepare proposals, and execute fundraising plan

? Research and manage potential partnership opportunities with agencies and programs that would help support the children and families served by YouReach

Amanter Social Ventures

? Work closely with Founder on long-term strategic plan, specifically on local Leadership Training and Social Entrepreneurship Initiative

? Assist Founder in reaching out to past and current Amanter Leadership Program participants at Harvard University and develop an online networking platform

? Research and seek collaboration opportunities to advance Amanter Social Ventures programs, in particular, the Leadership Training Initiative

? Assist with special projects as needed

Household Office

? Work alongside small family office and manage special projects as needed


? Bachelors Degree

? Bilingual in Spanish and English

? At least one year relevant professional experience

? Commitment to Hispanic youth development and social entrepreneurship

? Ability to thrive in an independent work environment as well as an openness to thoughtful and thorough guidance

? Exceptional writing and research skills

? Resourcefulness

? Familiarity with fundraising and/or a willingness to learn

? Superb interpersonal skills including the ability to develop rapport quickly with diverse stakeholders

? Strong computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook

? Willingness to research and learn software to manage fundraising and special projects
