Clayton County Public Schools is seeking applicants for the following position(s): FY2014 - Special Education - Speech Impairment/SLP Teacher Job Type: SPEECH AND LANGUAGE PATHOLOGY Reports To: Principal/DES Coordinator Duty Days: 185 Salary Range: Clayton County Public Schools Teacher Salary Scale for the 2013-2014 School Year Field(s)/Endorsement(s): SPEECH AND LANGUAGE PATHOLOGY Job Description: This position: Evaluates, identifies, and provides services to students who meet eligibility for speech-language impairments (Pre-K to HS).Works collaboratively and communicates with professionals and parents regarding integration of speech and language goals into classroom and home environment.Follows federal, state, and local procedures.Identifies speech and language disordered students through evaluation; analyzes communication skills of students found in the identification process; integrates designated curriculum.Participates in or conducts student's staffing in order to related pertinent data used in the determination of students' needs.Schedules students and conducts assigned classes at the times scheduled.Provides consultative services to teachers, parents administrators and allied agencies in order to integrate speech and language goals into the classroom, other educational programs, and the home environment.Evaluates and reports student progress for continuation or termination of services.Participates with school administration/coordinators for effective planning, coordination and implementation of speech/language pathology program into the total education system.Recommends the purchase of instructional and therapy materials for language therapeutic classes; assists in maintaining these supplies in an orderly manner.Participates in establishing and maintaining the Center's data collection system and safeguarding all records pertaining to individual cases.Maintains accurate, complete and appropriate records and files reports promptly. Demonstrates accurate and up-to-date knowledge of content. Minimum Qualifications: Master's degree in Speech and Language Pathology from an accredited college or university required. Georgia Professional Licensure S-5.

CCCs Preferred Minimum 3 years teaching experience within field. Prior teaching experience in a K-12 public school environment preferred. Grades: K, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5
