These positions include working with both the Office of Special Events & Conferences and Facilities Services.
Duties include but are not limited to: verifying group requirements & finalizing set up details, conducting meal counts, and arranging catering, audio visual and any other services, working with conference staff submitting group billing after departure, monitoring events to ensure proper service and set up, responding to requests for assistance in a courteous and efficient manner, performing tasks necessary for the daily operation of the office (telephones, filing, etc.), and participating in group check in and check out. While working with Facilities Services, duties will include: assisting with the set-up/break down of events held throughout campus, assisting with opening & closing of residence halls, inspecting and preparing rooms, delivering & removing of linens, and delivering packaged mail.
Must have ability to lift moderately heavy items (up to 50 lbs.) and be available to work occasional evening and weekend hours. Knowledge of Microsoft Office programs, including Word and Excel is a plus.
