Toyota's 10th U.S. plant, Toyota Motor Manufacturing, Mississippi, Inc., located in Blue Springs and is a tobacco free environment.
The primary purpose of this role is to line support engineering in safety, quality, productivity and cost.
Provide production engineering support for equipment systems and vehicle processing and tooling.
Safety Ergonomic Improvements
Ability to lead and coordinate multiple projects internal plant personnel, outside contractors and vendors.
Strong interpersonal and project management skills
Able to work with Production, Quality and Maintenance. Lead TMMMS drawings, reviews, kanban and testing for the equipment.
Capital and Operating Projects.
Problem solving- using TBP effectively to implement effective countermeasures.
Project Management - using engineering standards to ensure proper execution.
Analytical thinking is critical in system problem identification, countermeasure and implementation.
Must develop and maintain processes and procedures used to make business decisions on equipment as related to operational maintenance, preventative maintenance, refurbishment and capital budget replacement decisions.
Rotating shifts are required.
Bachelor's Degree (or higher) or equivalent experience in BSME, BSEE, BSIE
Experience in body operations related manufacturing engineering experience.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Access,) Lotus Notes, and commonly used Toyota web-based applications.
Proficiency in the use of AutoCAD, Autodesk, or Inventor Software.
Project management experience with multiple teams or departments (to include internal and external personnel, contractors and vendors,) capability to prioritize work, meet milestones, and report out status of project.
10% Travel will be required
25% Overtime will be required
Rotating shifts are required.
Budget preparation, control and variance for capital project experience.
Experience in body operations equipment installation, new model, or plant startup experience.
Experience in in CATIA, CAD, VECTRON, CMM or similar software experience.
Proficiency in Visual Basic, Visual C, PLC Ladder Logic, or similar software programming experience.
Manufacturing supervisory experience
Demonstrated understanding of automotive manufacturing cross-functional experience - must have understanding of at least two different divisions or departments.
Have completed TBP panel (passed) or similar problem solving certification (i.e. Six Sigma)
