Paint Engineer Specialist
position is in

The primary purpose of this role is to support Production Operations in the Paint shop by optimizing process conditions.
The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
To coordinate, lead, and direct all activities surrounding safety and quality in the paint production process
Establish necessary conditions for your assigned area
Raw material usage tracking systems
Direct and indirect material standards
Communication with all levels of the organization and lead paint process plant initiatives.
Support paint shop Hoshin (Objectives)
Working with vendors, contractors to ensure jobs are planned and done correctly
Small projects and problem solving expertise to achieve main/sub KPI.
New model development
Strategic Planning/Project management
Training and Development of production t/m's and g/l's
Top Coat & Top Coat repair
Primer Booth & Primer sanding
ED, ED sand, PVC & Sealer
Develop business plans and strategies
Process improvement implementation
Perform other duties as assigned
Intermediate level proficiency in use of MS Office Suite software (Word, Excel, PPT)
Demonstrated cross functional knowledge of automotive manufacturing environment
Project management leadership experience with capability to develop, lead, prioritize work, manage, and report
Overtime up to 25%
Travel up to 10%
Shift Rotation and shift times are dependent and based on production and business need.
Bachelor Science in Engineering
Paint Experience (2 years)
Good communication skills - this role will require coordination between multiple groups
Project management experience
Demonstrated knowledge of Toyota Way (possess understanding of relationship between Toyota Way values and core elements of Toyota Management System (TPS, TBP, Hoshin Kanri, OJD, Muda, Jidoka, JIT, etc)
