Toyota Motor Engineering & Manufacturing North America, Inc (TEMA) is the alignment of Toyota's North American R&D and manufacturing operations, joining the operations, planning and technical functions. Established in April 2006, TEMA strengthens Toyota's North American customer focus, through improved supplier cooperation, overall speed, flexibility and attention to quality. TEMA headquarters in Erlanger, KY, house the Toyota Operations Center and the Toyota Planning Center. The main offices for the Toyota Technical Center are in Ann Arbor, MI.
This position is located in Erlanger, Kentucky.
We are currently seeking a
Vehicle Production Planning Engineering
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Lead module side of new vehicle development with a focus on design for manufacturing.
Technically evaluate data from Design team to ensure good design for manufacturing.
Write up problems and negotiate countermeasures with the plant and Design team.
Report out status and support performance targets.
Support cost reduction, quality improvement, safety, and productivity initiatives.
Overtime: Up to 25% required; 50-75% during peak project work
Travel: Up to 40% during peak times
Bachelor Degree in Engineering field or equivalent professional experience
Engineering experience as production or quality engineer in a automotive manufacturing facility
Project management experience
Strong Microsoft Office skills
Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering
Automotive production or quality engineering experience with Stamping, Weld, Plastic or Assy
Catia, Solid Works or IGRIP experience
Experience working on a Vehicle Development Project
Previous Toyota experience, including co-op
