Specialist, Sales & Marketing - BI-LO Winn-Dixie

Job Overview

The specialist, sales & marketing, will assist the marketing team with various tasks such as collateral development, consumer satisfaction analysis, sales programs, product development and service programs.

This position delivers and assists with the development of marketing materials in a timely manner as required to support the achievement of brand sales and strategic goals.

Primary Responsibilities

·

Execute brand management plans for the retail/operations or merchandising categories/customer segments based on current business, consumer and research data.

·

Analyze and support category and cluster marketing plans to ensure alignment with brand strategy and to achieve annual operating goals.

·

Interpret reports from the consumer insights research team to leverage data in defining brand-building opportunities.

·

Coordinate the design, production and writing of marketing materials.

·

Identify key goals and objectives and analyze effectiveness of marketing materials.

·

Identify audience and appropriate media.

·

Ensure brand communication is consistent with the company and brand positioning for assigned areas.

·

Prioritize categories and segments based on business objectives to support management with investment strategies for marketing assets.

·

Assist with concept development and layout for design of marketing materials.

·

Measure return on investment (ROI) of brand management projects.

·

Track and monitor project progress and develop project work plans; provide leadership in project management.

·

Identify and develop relationships with vendors and suppliers.

·

Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

·

Bachelor’s degree in marketing, advertising, communications or related field; or an associate’s degree with two (2) years of marketing experience, to include developing and implementing marketing programs and materials.

·

Compliance with all company policies and procedures.

·

Ability to read, write and speak English proficiently.

·

Ability to understand and follow English instructions.

·

Authorization to work in the United States or the ability to obtain the same.

·

Successful completion of pre-employment drug testing and background check.

Preferred Qualifications

·

Master’s degree in business administration or related field; or equivalent experience.

·

Strong PC skills including proficiency with the primary Microsoft Office applications and SPSS/SAS.

·

Experience with syndicated data applications (e.g., IRI, Nielsen, NPD, Spectra).

·

Understanding of social media, advertising, customer technology devices and trends, media, web analytics, CRM, CMS and basic graphic design terminology and layout and design standards.

·

Ability to understand and apply communication theory, demographic and psychographic data and the psychology of buying.

·

Experience analyzing financial and customer data.

·

Ability to exercise discretion and use independent judgment to make decisions regarding the marketing department.

·

Experience in the retail industry.

·

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively convey complex and detailed information to a diverse population.

·

Ability to prioritize and coordinate multiple complex projects simultaneously while adhering to strict deadlines.

·
