General Function:
Works behind the scenes to ensure the customer receives their order within the contractual SLA’s. This includes requests for quotations and order placement. The Sales Support Specialist will also need to work with vendors to obtain lead times (ETA’s), back orders and work to fulfill the order in a timely manner. They are responsible for communicating pertinent information proactively back to customers. In some instances an RA may be requested, which they will need to work back with the vendor to ensure the customer is reimbursed.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Pomeroy sales order entry of Purchase Orders at Client request
• Assist with customer product return requests
• Monitor open order status and back-orders
• Coordinate the dropping of Pomeroy sales orders into DC pick status
• Communicate back order status to P&G consumers
• Ensure open orders are fulfilled within the contracted HP and P&G SLA parameters
• Monitor an email box/hotline number for customer questions
• Receives/creates quote and order requests from client
• Handles cancellation requests
• Prepares reports based on client requirements
• Coordinates with other internal departments to ensure expeditious processing and meeting of customer SLAs
• Works with manufacturers and internal resources to obtain special pricing for assigned customers.

Minimum Knowledge, Skills and Abilities required:
• College Degree preferred Degree in Information Technology Systems preferred, but will consider applicants with equivalent work-related experience with a minimum educational requirement of a H.S. Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Must have a minimum of 4 years sales support, customer service or administrative sales support experience.
• Contract generation strongly preferred.
• Must be able to support sales team (on/off-site sales offices) of approximately 5-8.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong internal customer service skills; ability to respond in a prompt efficient manner.
• Windows-based applications knowledge and ability (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); (Intermediate to Advanced knowledge level).
• Experience with technology based quote configuration systems (SAP, Oracle e-biz Suite and Oracle Sales) with some knowledge of computer systems, networks and peripherals.
• Knowledge of and ability to maneuver through Windows Explorer.
• Ability to learn and apply knowledge of new programs quickly.
• Ability to work as a team player.
• Proficient with typing and proofreading skills, preferred.

General office environment
Work is generally sedentary in nature, but may require standing and walking for up to 10% of the time. Work is generally performed within an office environment, with standard office equipment available.
