Lower Kuskokwim School District is seeking qualified applicants for the following position(s):
Location: Bethel/District Office (Itinerant)
Date Available: 2013/14 School Year
Ability to live and work in a cross-cultural, rural Alaskan environment.
Willingness to travel to remote locations.
Valid Alaska Type C teaching certificate with Speech / Language endorsement required.
Current Certificate of Clinical Competency - Speech/Language endorsement required.
Current Certificate of Clinical Competency - Speech/Language Pathologist (CCC-SLP) awarded from American Speech-Language Hearing Association (ASHA) is preferred.
Competency to administer and interpret a full range of tests.
Measuring articulation; language use; content and form, voice and fluency, augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) techniques, and communication skills.
Training and experience in the development of remedial programs in the areas of language, speech, fluency, voice and communications.
Experience in working with hard of hearing/deaf students preferred.
Hand-signing skills preferred.
