The Speech Language Pathologist will work with children who have autism ages 18 mo to 22 years who exhibit difficulties in the areas of language, speech, voice, and fluency in the clinics as well as home visits.
What you will be doing in this position:
Main Duties Include:
Developing goals and treatment plans with or without supervisor assistance
Analyze and interpret data from the diagnostics and assessments in order to develop appropriate individual learning goals and recommendations
Coordinate with supervisor and families
Plan research-based interventions most appropriate for the needs of the clients
Write reports and progress notes
Planning and Oversight
Collect, maintain, and utilize data for program planning and decision making
Prepare and submit reports as required
Collaborate with school leader, teachers, social workers, and Special Education Coordinator to best meet the needs of all students
Screening, Testing, Diagnosing, and Advising
Conduct speech, language and hearing diagnostics
Administer ongoing formal and informal assessments to track client's progress towards meeting their goals
Provide information about program guidelines and clients progress
Managing and Conducting Therapy
Develop appropriate IEPs based on strengths and needs
Collaborate and consult with Case Director in the management of speech-language disorders
Use data to adjust and modify interventions and instruction appropriately
Design, select, and modify curricula most appropriate to help clients meet their learning goals
Liaison with Teachers, Parents, and Other TBH Associates
Determine needs for referrals when necessary
Collaborate appropriately with other allied health professionals
What skills you will need to be successful in this position:

Licensed as a Speech-Language Pathologist
Prior clinical and/or school-based experience providing speech-therapy services to adolescence preferred
Knowledge of the principles, practices, methods, and techniques of speech language therapy
Ability to travel between home visits and the clinic
