Job Summary:
Under general direction of the Director of Rehabilitation Services and according to ASHA guidelines for practice, evaluates and implements speech-language therapy treatment to patients with neurological or musculoskeletal injuries or to patients with other acute or chronic physical disabilities, including deficits in cognition and swallowing, through the use of speech-language techniques to restore physical functioning, facilitate independence, prevent disability, or prevent recurrence of injury. All speech-language therapy treatment is conducted under a Physician’s order.
Minimum Job Qualifications: Education: Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited university
Experience: Minimum 1 year SNF experience
Licensure: Certificate of Clinical Competency Current ASHA Certification
Skills & Abilities: · Current BCLS Certification. Basic computer literacy. PPS familiarity
