Under the direction of the Coordinator of Hospice Support Services this person would provide a comprehensive spiritual support program of counseling and spiritual guidance to patients and their families. Is considered an expert resource in spiritual and cultural diversity and an integral team member when resolving "end of life" issues. Responsible for recruitment, interviewing, hiring, orienting, training, retention, disciplining and firing of all Morgantown Hospice volunteers. Provides placement, supervision and evaluation of volunteers. Responsible for program development and administration in all service areas consistent with Morgantown Hospice policies and procedures. Assists Coordinator of Hospice Support Services in developing annual budget specific to volunteer program.
Minimum Education Requirement :
Bachelor's Degree required, preferably in human service field.
Minimum Experience Requirement :
Two years’ experience in a human services position required. Effective communication skills with persons of diverse religious, cultural and racial backgrounds. Functional knowledge of, and respect for, religious principles and practices. Good organizational skills. Demonstrated ability to be open, sensitive, and flexible. Hospice experience preferred.
Minimum License Requirement :
Valid WV Professional license, current drivers license
