This position is part of the core editorial team for NBCSports.com. The role includes day-to-day editorial maintenance and production of the site, as well as working with the sales and marketing teams and other partners to ensure execution of their programs on NBCSports.com.
Produce and edit content on NBCSports.com as part of a 24/7 sports news cycle, including monitoring wires, editing copy, writing headlines and selecting complementary content such as photos and video.
Produce and edit content on NBCSports.com as it relates to core NBC Sports properties, such as Sunday Night Football, Notre Dame Football, NHL, etc.
Work with the NBCSports.com editorial, video and product teams on packaging content to create ready-for-market products.
Bachelors degree in journalism or related field.
Minimum two (2) years in digital sports publishing, with a focus on core newsroom functions but also some experience with non-editorial projects
Strong attention to detail and ability to work well on deadline, while juggling many varied deadlines
Demonstrated experience in packaging complementary, branded content for a digital audience
Must be able to work a flexible schedule
Must be a team player
