The Sr. Analyst, IT PMO will be responsible for supporting the TXU Energy IT program management methodology designed to provide for a common execution strategy that enhances project organization, communication and quality delivery of IT-related strategic initiatives that meet business objectives. The Sr Analyst will have responsibility for generating and reviewing reports to determine the overall health of the team and assess areas for improvement. This position will add value by promoting the consistent, efficient and effective delivery of IT-related initiatives per the project’s schedule, budget and business objectives, as well as provide for a project and program level tracking and reporting for IT-related initiatives.
Support and refine the TXU Energy IT program management methodology designed to provide for a common execution strategy that enhances project organization, communication and delivery of IT-related strategic initiatives that meet business objectives.
Gather and analyze feedback and external research to develop recommendations for the continuous improvement of the program management methodology, processes and policies in order to maximize the benefits and minimize risk of future projects and support TXU Energy IT long and short term goals.
Analyze need and develop material to provide on-going training for the project and program management methodology.
Monitor usage and provide support to individual project managers/leaders, project team members, and vendors to ensure the project management methodology is understood and followed.
Create and maintain a summarized status for all major projects, including updates on activities and deliverables, as well as risks and mitigation strategies and resource planning.
TECHNICAL SKILLS REQUIRED
Solid understanding of relevant project and program management concepts and project planning, reporting and control technique
Thorough understanding of relevant IT development life-cycles.
Experience in an outsourced IT and/or consulting environment.
Strong communicator who can relate well to all levels.
Will possess and exhibit a high level of integrity.
Must have a passion regarding project management methodology.
Will have a high energy level channeled into a consultative style. This is a demanding role, but one in which the appointed candidate can grow their career within a dynamic environment and enjoy the autonomy and freedom to create success.
Will have a proven track record of success, a collaborative and participative style, and will have the ability to make presentations to IT staff.

Required qualifications for this position include:
- BS or BA degree in business, information systems or computer science with an emphasis in information technology.
- Four plus years IT business analysis and/or IT development experience.
