Role Description
As a Hyperion Planning Techno Functional Consultant/Business Analyst, candidate will be assisting client on a Hyperion Planning implementation with responsibilities including: definition of requirements (including current state analysis), architecting a solution with the Hyperion Planning software, implementation of Interactive reporting and planning processes, change management, and training of client staff for a successful deployment and support of Hyperion Planning version 11.1. The ideal candidate is an IT / Finance professional with functional, business process, and Hyperion Essbase / Planning technical design and configuration skills within the performance reporting and planning areas
Required Experience
  • A minimum 8+ years of experience with 5+ years of experience in direct, hands-on design and implementation of Hyperion Planning, Essbase, and Performance Reporting solutions for large companies (or Big 4 consulting experience within this solution area).
  • Proven experience creating reports using the Interactive Reporting, Smartview toolset
  • 4 years of experience with Hyperion Planning & Essbase
  • Must have strong finance background and experience in manufacturing and financial Domain
  • Must have worked in all phases of budgeting, forecasting, consolidation, and financial reporting applications in atleast 2 end to end implementations.
  • Previous experience in full lifecycle implementations of new planning processes using a formal implementation methodology and implementing Hyperion Planning Plus (experience with Planning System 11 preferred).
  • Demonstrated ability to prepare specifications and reports, deliver oral presentations, and explain complex technical concepts in simple terms.
  • Metadata and Data Integration experience would be preferred.
  • Desirable Experience
  • Knowledge of Discoverer reports will be a big plus
  • Advanced MS Excel skills writing VBA macros
  • Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal skills and ability to foster client relationships and working relationships with peers will have advantage
  • Experience working on OBIEE Plus reporting
