As an IT professional you have expert knowledge in one or more programming languages or databases. Because of your excellent understanding of the entire project life cycle, you have the ability to direct project teams in the gathering, design, and development of complex applications/programs. You get to work closely with and learn from the brightest minds to ensure proper system design. Your role ensures highest quality implementations from design through quality insurance to production. You anticipate hardware and software design needs to take pre-emptive action. Our IT professionals support multiple team members and other project leads in day-to-day activities related to project work.

The Sr. Developer has proficient knowledge of multiple programming languages along with the ability to take business requirements and develop the total technical design for an entire application to be run in production. The Sr. Developer has the ability to lay out requirements for the project team. Ability to guide and direct work on multiple projects and ensure proper usage as part of the design efforts in building a system to be put into production. Thorough understanding of life cycle development through production implementation and post implementation. The Sr. Developer has the ability to present at the various architecture review boards. Display strategic view of applications and how they fit into the whole retail space.

The Supply Chain Business Intelligence team is seeking a Senior Data/Business Analyst. This individual will play a vital role in the success of projects and directly support business analysts and decision makers with analytics. This is a high-visibility position that may interact with all levels of the organization including executive leadership.
Major Responsibilities: Work closely with internal customers to analyze data to solve business and technical problems. Gather, analyze, and document requirements. Quickly understand business processes and be able to make recommendations on best practices for reporting, data visualization and analytics. Maintain traceability of requirements through the lifecycle of the project. Estimate their work and work within THD's established IT development methodology. Support and improve existing processes. Function as a liaison and coach to internal customers. Foster professional, trusting relationships with our Business Partners, Sr. Management and other IT teams.

MAJOR TASKS, RESPONSIBILITIES AND KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES -
Define, plan and implement solutions on assigned moderately complex projects.

Take business requirements and develop the total technical design on moderately complex projects and ensure proper usage as part of the design efforts in building a system to be put into production.

Conduct appropriate test reviews for assigned projects and present to architecture review boards as necessary.

Promote and follow the established processes, policies, standards and procedures to assure compliance with corporate and regulatory policies and standards.

Provide technical direction to associate developers, developers and contractors.

NATURE AND SCOPE -
Typically reports to Manager, Information Technology

Responsible for helping others and providing on-the-job training or guidance

ENVIRONMENTAL JOB REQUIREMENTS -
Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.

Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS -
Must be eighteen years of age or older.
Must pass the Drug Test.
Must successfully complete any required training or orientation courses.

EDUCATION REQUIRED -
The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a high school diplomas and/or GED.

YEARS OF RELEVANT WORK EXPERIENCE -
5+

PHYSICAL JOB REQUIREMENTS -
Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS -
BS/BA in IT or related field or equivalent experience.

3+ years of related experience.

3+ Years of Information Technology experience.

1+ years hands-on experience conducting data analysis

Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Excellent SQL skills. Good presentation, conflict management, and expectation setting skills. Must be organized and pro-active. Demonstrated ability to gather requirements and analyses needs from business people. Ability to read and interpret ERD diagrams/ data models. Experience in data analysis/ data mining. Skilled with one or more SQL tools (SQL Assistant, TOAD, others), Microsoft Office (especially Excel). Experience with the following technologies would be considered a plus: Columnar Databases, Hadoop, Microstrategy, Microsoft Analysis Services, Teradata, UNIX/Linux.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES AND COMPETENCIES -
Ability to work independently with minimal direction.

Ability to communicate issues and recommend solutions in a timely manner to Management.

Strong decision making abilities.

Experience developing new application systems for production.
